Lifelong Tennessean Pledges ‘Fresh Ideas’ for Working & Middle Class Families
MONTEAGLE, Tenn. -- Lenda Sherrell, a lifelong Middle Tennessean, will publically announce her decision to run for U.S. Congress in Tennessee’s fourth congressional district during two campaign kickoff events on Tuesday February 4th in Grundy and Rutherford Counties.The first event will take place at 11 a.m. in Lenda’s home county of Grundy at the Grundy County Historical Society Heritage Center, located at 465 Railroad Ave. in Tracy City, Tenn. The second event will take place in Rutherford County at 5:30 p.m. at Pa Bunk’s, a locally owned small business on the square in Murfreesboro, located at 107 South Church St.
These events are open to the public and the media.

• Lenda and her husband Jim, a retired physician, raised their two children in Tennessee. They currently live in Monteagle.
• Lenda’s daughter lives with her family in Franklin, Tenn. and her son lives with his family in Chattanooga, Tenn.
• As a Certified Public Accountant, Lenda has been responsible for the professional management of millions of dollars.
• Lenda was born, raised, and educated in Tennessee. The daughter of a rural letter carrier and a teacher, Lenda grew up in Pleasant Hill in Cumberland County and Sparta in White County.
Lenda, who attended Middle Tennessee State University thanks to Series E Savings Bonds that her parents provided, knows how important education is in developing and sustaining our local communities.
